Pink Moon-Chicagoland

Pink Moon 8K Run & Walk adds a new dimension on the journey to find better treatments and a cure for breast cancer. Participants will gather at Plaza del Lago in Wilmette on a late Saturday afternoon to join forces to fund research teams. The route, still being finalized, will wind through scenic areas of Wilmette and Evanston, returning runners and walkers to a pinklit plaza of cheering family and friends. This run/walk is a fund raising event. While it also increases/maintains awareness about breast cancer, the event's purpose is to raise the funding researchers need to make significant progress. The minimum donation requirement is $80 per adult (less for children and women/men who have had breast cancer) because 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Will you walk or run 8K and raise at least $80 in support of that "1 in 8" in 2012? The first two Pink Moon-USA events have raised more than $20,000. We can easily double that in 2012!
